John’s main professional focus is in working with early stage clinical development candidates and transfer to plant, often working with small pharma companies where he helps with CMC issues related to material supplies for toxicological studies, Phase I and II clinical trials.
John first started his industrial career at the age of 16 as a technician. Following several years’ laboratory experience he went on to study to obtain a degree and PhD in synthetic organic chemistry. After a post-doctoral period at Columbia University John returned to the UK, and after 8 years at Glaxo joined a small contract research organisation which, after significant growth, became Evotec. Following 14 years in the CRO arena John transitioned into consultancy and in 2015 established his own consultancy business. In April 2016 John became a Visiting Industrial Professor at the University of Bristol, UK.
